College Ministries

The Diocese of West Tennessee offers ministries on the campuses of Rhodes College, LeMoyne-Owen College, Christian Brothers University, and the University of Memphis. The mission of college ministry is to serve, support, and equip students, staff, and faculty to live and practice their faith in diverse campus communities in worship and proclamation of the word of God by word and example.

Engaging Students in Episcopal Campus Ministries
In 2007, a team of lay and clergy from different congregations and ministries in the Diocese of West Tennessee observed 10 campus ministry sites across the country to determine which actions and steps create the highest percentage of Student Engagement.

University of Memphis, Barth House Episcopal Student Center
A variety of activities and worship opportunities take place at Barth House, located since 1959 at 409 Patterson, adjacent to the University of Memphis campus.

The schedule for St. Theodore's Chapel and the Barth House Episcopal Student Center is as follows:
Sunday: Holy Communion, 6:00 pm, dinner & fellowship following
Wednesday: Holy Communion, 12:10 pm, lunch & fellowship following
Monday & Wednesday: Morning Prayer, 8:00 am
Monday through Friday: Center open 9 am - 1:30 pm
